Our Team

Zayna Adamu is a general paediatrician particularly interested in developmental and behavioural paediatrics, although she enjoys all aspects of child and adolescent health. She strongly focuses on neurodiversity-affirming and strength-based approaches to supporting each child’s individual developmental needs.

She graduated from the University of Wales (UK) in 2009, then completed paediatric training in various settings across Australia and New Zealand, including Rotorua, Hamilton (NZ), Adelaide, Bendigo, Katherine, and Darwin.

Outside work, her favourite things are wildlife photography, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband and two girls. Her lived experience raising her autistic daughter has given her unique insight into some of the joys and challenges of parenting a neurodivergent child.
